Overview (or Fast Start)

Attachit is a plug-in for your Confluence space that lets you attach documents directly to Confluence pages.

To attach files to your page, click on Add > Attachit on the target page.

 

Main Screen

 

 

 

Attachit supports following connection types:

  • WebDav
  • Box

You can simply download from web by writing the direct URL and pressing "Attach From URL" button.

Also you can attach from local computer by selecting your local file and pressing "Attach from Local Computer" button.

For WebDav and Box attachments, you should create a connection first.

Click on "Add WebDav Server" or "Add Box Server" link to define a server. Enter the access information on upcoming page and save the entries.

Now you can attach files through the server link. Navigate to your target directory and select your files by selecting their checkboxes.

Then pressing the "Attach" button download the files from the server and attaches to your page.

 

 

Add Connection

You should define connections before using for attachment. You can use following connection types:

  • WebDav
  • Box

Click on the icon of the connection type to add a connection. Required information for each connection differs.

WebDAV Connection:

Name: Give a name to the connection.

URL: Enter the full address of the WebDav connection. Include http:// or https:// prefixes. Specify the port number with ":<port_number>" suffix. For instance: https://webdav.ilerian.com/attachit:2230

Username: Your username that is used for WebDav connection authorization. Leave it empty if there is no authorization control on your server.

Password: Your password for WebDav connection authorization. Leave it empty if there is no authorization control on your server.

 

Box Connection

Name: Give a name to the connection.

Username: Your Box account username

Password: Your Box account password



You can see the list of created connections on the main Attachit page.

You can edit your connection settings after creation; Just click on "Edit" link near the icon of your created connection.

You can delete your connection settings after creation; Just click on "Delete" link near the icon of your created connection.

Select Files

Go into server and select the file.

You can select multiple files in a directory.

You can not attach a directory for now.

 

Attach

Then press the attach button.

You can see the attached files with native Attachments page.
